Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Drawl is operated by Ankur Shrivastava, an individual (sole proprietor) based in India. He is the data controller (data fiduciary) for the personal data described here.

2. What we collect and what stays on your Mac

• Audio. Your microphone and your call app’s audio. It is transcribed on your Mac using Apple’s speech APIs. It is never saved and never uploaded.
• Transcript text. Sent to hosted AI model providers, which write the labels and structure of your canvas.
• Saved calls. The canvas and transcript are kept locally on your Mac. We don’t keep a copy.
• Account. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier.
• Purchase information. Dodo Payments collects your payment details. We don’t receive or store full card numbers. We do receive purchase information such as your name, email, country and subscription status.
• Things you send. When you send or share a canvas, the content you choose goes to that destination. A share link makes the shared canvas available to anyone who has the link. Slack and Notion receive content only when you connect them and send something.
• Website analytics. This website uses Vercel Web Analytics, which records aggregated page-view data without cookies.
• Messages to us. If you email support@drawl.fyi, we keep your message and address so we can reply.

3. How we use data

• to run Drawl and draw your canvas;
• to sign you in and manage your subscription;
• to give support and answer your messages;
• to keep the service secure and fix problems;
• to meet our legal obligations.

We don’t sell personal data and we don’t use it for advertising.

4. Who we share it with

• AI model providers. We share transcript text with them only to produce your canvas.
• Google. For Sign in with Google.
• Dodo Payments. Our Merchant of Record. It handles payment, invoicing and taxes under its own buyer terms and privacy practices.
• Vercel. Hosts this website and provides its analytics.
• Slack and Notion. Only when you connect them and send content to them.
• Authorities. If the law requires it.

We don’t sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

We are based in India. The services above may process data in other countries, so your data can leave the country where you live. By using Drawl you understand this.

6. How long we keep data

We keep account data while your account is active and delete it when you ask. Audio is never stored. Saved calls live on your Mac, so you control them and can delete them yourself. We keep purchase and tax records for as long as the law requires.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to give you access to your personal data, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. You can also raise a grievance with us. These rights come from India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Other rights may apply where you live, and we will respect them.

8. Children

Drawl is not for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you think a child has given us data, tell us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data. Keeping audio and saved calls on your Mac is part of that. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. For material changes we will give you notice before they take effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
